Why is humidity important?

Besides humidity having influence on our atmosphere and rainfall, it also has other effects on our health.

If it is hot with high humidity (such as tropical climates), it is hard for the body to cool down itself. This can lead to overheating. This can lead to severe illness or death, as well as breathing problems, heart attacks or strokes. Heat stress is nothing to take lightly.

Humidity is a way to measure water vapor in the air. When there is a lot of water vapor, it will hold in the air and feel heavy. Water vapor is a role in precipitation. Precipitation is a response to lower humidity in the air by releasing it as water droplets.

So, when thinking about your next vacation, keep these facts in mind.
